Biogerontologist Steve Horvath is a principal investigator at Altos Labs and his research focuses on the intersection of several fields, including epigenetic biomarkers of ageing, preclinical and clinical studies, genomics, epidemiology and comparative biology.
Together with colleagues at the University of California, Los Angeles, he published the first saliva epigenetic clock in 2011. In 2013, he published the well-known Horvath clock. And he has recently presented a universal clock that applies to all mammals.
In addition, every year since 2018, he has been on Clarivate’s annual list of the world’s most influential scientific researchers.
