José Vicente Sánchez Mut is a senior researcher at the Institute of Neurosciences in Alicante (Spain). He holds a degree in Biology from the University of Valencia and a PhD in Neurosciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
His research focuses on the molecular basis of ageing and neurodegenerative diseases, with special emphasis on epigenetics and Alzheimer’s disease. Through this research, she seeks to better understand the mechanisms by which genetic and non-genetic interactions influence individual trajectories of ageing and the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, with the ultimate goal of identifying new targets and biomarkers to intercept the deleterious effects of ageing and age-related diseases.
