Ricardo Ramos is the Director of Institute IMDEA Alimentación, specialized in Precision Nutrition and Health, and scientific head of the Nutritional and Food Genomics Platform GENYAL.
D. in Molecular Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid, he is one of the leading experts in the most advanced technologies in the field of genomics, such as high-throughput real-time PCR or massive sequencing in all its applications.
He has extensive scientific experience in the field of cell and molecular biology. He is currently focused on addressing the technical challenges of the new precision nutrition, with an eye on the so-called “omics” technologies capable of providing, at a comprehensive level, large amounts of data of crucial importance for health-focused research. It is also working to scale up services to design and study, in practice, the effects of food and lifestyle-based products and therapies on humans from the pioneering GENYAL Platform.
